not so great. I LOVED the old skool BUDGET KIT book, which you can get on Amazon for 36 cents, which i first found at the library. i saw this title when searching for the other and thought it looked simple and fun. the budget sheets are not full size (the font could be larger) and rather than recording all expenses, which most methods suggest, the author recommends GAME, groceries, misc and extra. this makes no sense to me. this is a little too novel. i splurged on this purchase and just wanted to others to know my feelings…………..since I was grossly misleaded by the reviews. get the 36 cent one you will be happy

Excellent, simple easy plan to follow. Simplicity can be wonderful and it is done in easy to ready (actually enjoyable) and fun format.
Calculators(websites that you can go to listed in the book)that help you see your goals is a wonderful tool.

This is a pretty good budgeting book for those who have never sorted out their finances before. It really helped me get organized without making me feel like an idiot for not knowing how to balance my check book or create a budget (always a plus!)
I just wish I had made copies before writing in the book. The list of monthly bills organized by week is very helpful; to see WHEN your money is going out, now just how much, but there is only one sheet like this in the entire book. 3 weeks later I needed to update it because I had changed a few dates and added a new bill. no can do. wish this book came with a Cd to print out additional forms.
4 stars because there is room for improvement.

This book has helped me get my finances under control. I finially know what is coming and going out of my account. I used the book work sheets to begin with and then created a excel spread sheet and customized the system a little to fit my personal finances.
I really like that the idea of the book is to keep it simple and record less rather than more. I don’t have the time to record every little thing.
