There was nothing new in this book. Just a lot of stuff you’ve already read in numerous other books. Simple common sense they’ve tried to market as being unique for women. Don’t waste your money buying this book. Better to borrow it from your public library and save your hard earned dollars.

I am a big Jean Chatzky, and Suze Orman fan, so I was not sure about this book. It’s actually quite good. Yes, most of it is repeat, but it never hurts to reinforce an idea, or to have someone else explain it in their words.
I would recommend this book, get it from your local library. That’s step one to saving $$.
Also, check out Jean Chatzky’s “Pay it Down”. Still one of the best books, and logical. Because most folks need a good kick in the pants, and Jean’s book does that… gently.
So, once you stop wasting $$, you can invest it, folks.
Once you get our spending in control, then you get to do the great investment pointers they have here.
I would recommend this book, easy read, too.

It was not a bad read. It is more for a person who is intimidated by financial matters, I did enjoy the section on investing, and just seeing that saving for retirement early winds up to be so much more in the long run. Not bad, Not bad.

I found this book very interesting and easy to understand. I’ve read a lot of financial planning books, some geared towards women and have found this one to be among the best. The basic financial planning concepts are explained clearly and action items are presented, which makes this book different from others. It’s not just about concepts and theories but the authors actually give you detailed, concrete steps you can follow to make wise decisions regarding your money. I would highly recommend this books, not just to other women but to anyone wanting to learn more about how to achieve financial security.
